SHEFFIELD Wednesday have already sold 21,000 tickets for their final game of the season.
Sales for the visit of Wycombe are on a par with demand for the 36,000-plus sell-out derby against Sheffield United at Hillsborough in February.
More than 3,500 seats for the May 5 clash have been snapped up since the Owls cut the gap between them and the Blades to one point.
Wednesday could clinch automatic promotion in the Wycombe game - depending on their results and United’s in the last two matches of the season.
With another sell-out almost certain in home areas, ticket office manager Alastair Wilson said: “There was a high demand for this game prior to the weekend but we have been inundated since the win over Carlisle on Saturday.
“The pattern so far is very similar to the Sheffield United game, where many supporters missed out on tickets, so I would advise our fans to ensure they purchase their tickets as soon as possible.
“We fully expect this game to completely sell out to Wednesdayites.”
Tickets are on sale now from the usual outlets - in person at the Ticket Office, Owls Megastore, by telephone on 0871 900 1867 (£2 booking fee per ticket) or online at www.swfc.co.uk/tickets
