2003 – Third time not-so-lucky

After back-to-back survivals, April 21 2003 saw the Owls relegated to the third tier for the first time in a generation.

A 1-1 draw at Brighton wasn’t enough as Stoke won at Coventry. “From tomorrow we will be preparing a team for next season,” said then-boss Chris Turner.
