“Sheffield Wednesday are a club with great potential,” said Harry Redknapp, whose teams came up against Pulis on numerous occasions. “They’ve got a brilliant set of fans and fabulous support.
“If anyone said to me about buying a football club in terms of teams outside of the Premier League that would be one of the first ones I’d recommend.
“Tony is going to be on his travels a lot again. It’s a long way from Poole to Sheffield! But he’ll be ready for the challenge ahead.

Redknapp went on to say the move is one that both the club and the new boss should be pleased with.
“It’s a great job for Tony – he’ll be delighted to have this opportunity,” Redknapp said on talkSPORT. “The only way from second bottom is up.
“If anyone’s going to keep them up, it’s Tony. They won’t go down. I’m sure they’ll finish in a comfortable enough position in the league by the end of the season.

“If you’re going to take someone and you’re looking to stay up then Tony is your man. They’ve chosen the right person for the job.”
