Promoted through the League Two playoffs, Morecambe last week parted ways with Derek Adams, who decided to drop back into the fourth tier to take on a challenge at Bradford City.

And now former Northern Ireland international Stephen Robinson will take over having previously held managerial posts at Oldham Athletic and Motherwell.

“I am delighted to have agreed to become the manager of Morecambe FC and I am really looking forward to the challenge ahead,” he said.
