One more Sheffield Wednesday game for Steven Fletcher, Morgan Fox and Fernando Forestieri? Garry Monks explains…

The clash with Bristol City on Sunday afternoon will be the last opportunity for the trio to turn out for the Owls before their respective contracts expire at the end of the month, and Monk has suggested that two of them could potentially feature in what would be their final game in Wednesday colours.
While Fox and Forestieri are in contention, though neither played in last week’s 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest, Monk explained that Fletcher hasn’t trained all week as is therefore unlikely to play any part at Ashton Gate.

Hide AdSpeaking to the media, the Owls boss said, “Of course, this will be the last game for those players in terms of contention, so yeah, we'll make decisions. Fletcher, his scan came back clear, but obviously he still feels sore so he hasn't trained this week, so it’s highly unlikely that he'll be involved at the weekend.
“But yeah, the rest of it will be decisions for the game. Obviously, this is the last game for the players, as mentioned, and then after that it will be, as we said, that the squad will be the squad.”
Wednesday face Bristol at 12pm on Sunday as they look to build on that draw with Forest, and fans will be keen to see what the latest squad looks like after this week’s contract news.
