'No disgrace for the youth tonight' - Sheffield Wednesday fans react to Carabao Cup defeat at Fulham
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
The Premier League new boys saw off Garry Monk’s young side courtesy of first half goals from Aboubakar Kamara and Bobby Decordova-Reid to book a fourth round clash with West London neighbours Brentford.
But a youthful-looking Owls – Monk once again named a completely different starting XI from the side which drew 0-0 with Watford at Hillsborough on Saturday – far from disgraced themselves against a strong-looking Cottagers’ outfit, and can now fully concentrate on chipping away at their points deduction at the foot of the Sky Bet Championship.

“Fulham more clinical, but plenty of positives for Garry Monk. Thought Waldock had good debut, and Hagan looked bright, too. Focusing on the Championship now.”
And here’s what a selection of Wednesdayites had to say on Twitter following this evening’s loss.
@Mikey1867 Really good show by the youngsters tonight for Wednesday! #futuresbright #swfc

Hide Ad@clurrrrxhx Maybe a defeat but I feel positive. Onwards and upwards... the young lads are the future, all had a good go and did us proud. Love ya Wednesday. Onto Bristol #swfc
@nahthenthee Thought they gave a decent account of themselves tonight, some more than others #swfc
@footballtyper Watched the game tonight. A quick point for me is that yes, clear that Julian Borner struggled and I'd suggest he's not been at his best for a while. But, this is when players need our support the most, in the tough times. We're stronger when we're together
@SwimGarySwim Concentrate on the league now #swfc
@Majortarantino Shows how things have changed recently in team spirit and connection with the fans. We've lost - but there's no meltdown. There are more positives than negatives. #wawaw #swfc

Hide Ad@L0RD_H No disgrace for the youth tonight. Played some good football against a strong PL side
@S35CB There was no way our second 11 was going to beat a Premier League side. A cup run is good, but we have more important matters to tend to.
@theMarkChambers Nothing to be concerned about with this. Think we held our own well considering the side put out. Lots of positives too. The league is obviously always going to be priority. UTO! #swfc
@TomTB1995 Thought we played fairly well tonight. Should have been in front early on. Their goals came against the run of play. #swfc
