Hunt is a regular member of the Owls first team now, however playing time has dried up for the 20-year-old since the arrival of new manager, Tony Pulis.
The talented midfielder has come through the ranks at Wednesday after joining the club as a youngster, and looked to be making big strides last season as Garry Monk started using him more and more in the first team.

Now, with his contract expiring at the end of the current season, questions have been asked about what lies ahead for the young Sheffielder amid talk of potential international interest from the Republic of Ireland’s youth setup.
The Star understands that Wednesday do have a one-year option on Hunt that they could exercise and see him through to the end of the 2021/22 campaign, and it is known that he is rate very highly within the club’s structures.
With Pulis expected to delve into the transfer market next month though, opportunities may become more limited for Hunt, and the club may be tempted to put out some feelers with regards to a potential loan move elsewhere in search of more regular playing time.
Hunt has played 11 senior games for the Owls up to now, and – as a Wednesdayite himself – will no doubt be desperate to add to that tally in the coming years as he seeks to continue his progression up the ranks.
