Sheffield Wednesday’s play-off fate remains in their own hands despite the Owls dropping out of the top six.

A win for Darren Moore’s side against MK Dons would move them up two places to fifth in the League One table with four games to go.

But standing in their way is a team looking to make it 16 matches unbeaten and move back into the automatic promotion places.

The Owls won 2-1 in the reverse fixture in November, but their away record this season is modest.

They have won six of their 20 fixtures on the road.

MK Dons vs Sheffield Wednesday LIVE

Key Events

  • Sheffield Wednesday make three changes from last game
  • A win would move the Owls back into the League One play-off places
  • MK Dons drop one place to third after Rotherham’s win over Ipswich

Well, there isn’t a Sheffield Wednesday fan in their right mind who wouldn’t have taken this predicament before half-time.

Admittedly the Dons goal is a disappointment, but the Owls are still in a great position.

Obvious point - yet worth pointing out - next goal is very important.

Bailey Peacock-Farrell - 7

Jordan Storey - 6

Chey Dunkley - 6

Liam Palmer - 7

Jack Hunt - 6

George Byers - 7

Fisayo Dele-Bashiru - 6

Barry Bannan - 10

Marvin Johnson - 6

Saido Berahino - 7

Lee Gregory - 7

Troy Parrott grabs his second goal in as any games with a close-range finish following a Dons attack out of nowhere.

That makes things a bit more interesting.

Dunkley replace Dean

Disappointment for Dean who looks to be unable to continue. Dunkley is on to replace him.

This should come with a health warning.

3-0 Sheffield Wednesday

That could be goal of the season right there. BPF’s long clearance is headed down by Dean Lewington straight into the path of Bannan, who takes a touch and volleys the ball over Cumming (who is having a nightmare) and into the back of the net.

Unbelievable. What a start.

OH MY GOD - BARRY BANNAN

SCREAMER!

Still no response from the home side

Troy Parrott’s half chance is all they have to show for the opening 30 minutes as a free-kick routine comes to nothing.

Credit to Wednesday, who have taken the sting out of them with a third of the game gone.

Watch Lee Gregory’s goal

Sheffield Wednesday are up to fifth in the live table.

Any win tonight, regardless of the scoreline, would move them up two places owing to their superior goal difference over Wycombe and Sunderland.
