Middlesbrough v Sheffield Wednesday LIVE: Owls lose but hope remains (somehow)
Key Events
- Wednesday won last time out against Blackburn Rovers
- A defeat, and a win for Derby, would send them down
- The Owls will be without Darren Moore once again
Watmore bundles in. Another rubbish goal. McNair corner is headed back down and Watmore gets there first to make it 3-1
Borner error again
The defender gave away a needless corner and from there Coburn headed in, jumping higher than Urhoghide and it went in off the post. Wednesday have gifted the goals today
20 minutes to go
It’s a bit nervy out there. To be fair to Boro, they’re not playing like a team who have nothing to play for. Wednesday doing ok but they just need a little bit more composure. There’s a fair amount of firing it forward going on when you feel a bit of patience might not go amiss
Could go either way
At risk of stating the obvious, it could be either side who wins this from here. There’s a lot of space on the pitch and it’s all very open. Boro putting a little bit of pressure on at the minute but Wednesday look relatively encouraging when they go forward themselves
