'Mentally challenging': Bournemouth boss on Sheffield Wednesday ahead of Hillsborough clash

It was a 2-2 draw the last time the Owls and the Cherries met back in a 2015 Championship encounter, and you have to go all the way back to 2012 in League One to find the last time Wednesday beat Bournemouth at Hillsborough.
Since then there has been only four meetings between the two, with SWFC’s singular victory being a 4-2 win in 2014 when Tindall was assistant manager to Eddie Howe.

Hide AdNow in charge, the Bournemouth boss insists that he understands the Owls’ current predicament, saying, “It’s difficult really, with the start that they had to the season without kicking a ball because of the points reduction - we know what that’s like ourselves, it’s very mentally challenging.
“I felt they started the season well, and picked up some really good points. Obviously results haven’t been what they’d have liked the last three or four games, but I’m sure it’s something they’ll be looking to put right - starting tomorrow against us.
“They’re a really good Championship side, and we’ve got to make sure that we go out there ready and fully prepared.”
The two teams will lock horns at 7pm tomorrow night as Wednesday seek their first home win since a last gasp victory over Charlton Athletic way back on February 26th.
