It was the return of Darren Moore to Hillsborough as the Terriers visited S6, Neil Thompson leading the Owls out for the first time since Xisco’s firing earlier in the week - and he made plenty of changes to the side as all but one of the Spaniard’s signings were left out of the starting XI.
In a game of few chances a goalless draw was probably a fair result, and though it didn’t help Wednesday’s league position there was certainly a more positive atmosphere around the place as they finally moved from two points to three.
Here’s how we rated them this afternoon:

5. Di’Shon Bernard - 7
Another accomplished performance from the young defender, who was asked to play on the left of a three for this one. Drove forward when he could, but also was solid defensively as well. | Ellis / UGC

6. Reece James - 7
Played like a man on a mission, determined to justify his immediate return to the XI after Xisco’s exit. Worked the ball well, but in some dangerous crosses and looked very comfortable in his position. | Ellis / UGC

7. Will Vaulks - 7
Really set the tone for the game with some big tackles early doors, and put some very dangerous balls into the box as the afternoon went on. Looked more like the Vaulks of last season. | UGC / Getty

8. George Byers - 5
Not his most imposing performance, but still a solid one from the popular Owls midfielder. Had a half chance early doors and was tireless in his efforts. | Getty / UGC
