A win for Rotherham United at Luton Town this evening effectively relegates Sheffield Wednesday, short of a remarkable swing in goal difference on the final day.

Anything short of three points for the Millers and it is all to play for.

Join us throughout the evening for live conversation about the clash, with the assistance of our guest bloggers.

Luton Town v Rotherham United

Word from our Millers-supporting guest blogger Danny..

“Good to see Crooks back after his suspension, looks like it’s 5-3-1-1 for Rotherham and 5-3-2 for Luton..”

Reaction from our Owls guest blogger Will..

“Glad there’s no George Hirst would of been written in the stars for him to score his first goal tonight..”

Strong stuff from the Luton boss..

The state of play..

Oh she’s nervy..

Here’s how we’re placed.

21st: Derby - 43 points - GD -22

22nd: Rotherham - 40 points - GD -16

23rd: Wednesday - 40 points - GD -21

24th: Wycombe - 40 points - GD -33

A word from our first guest blogger, Cam..

well i can speak for 100% if of wednesday fans and say i am absolutely cacking myself for the whole of this week. our championship status is in jeopardy and might not even get past tonight. luton and rotherham is a game i’d usually not be interested in but I am the hatters no 1 fan tonight. i haven’t really followed either of them so I can’t really give an accurate preview.

for the weekend on the other hand i’m gonna do a captain obvious but it’s literally a must win, at them from the off. derby just need a point so i’m expecting a backs against wall from the sheep lot. wednesday do deserve to go down after this shambolic season but who doesn’t love a last day relegation scrap

Good evening, Wednesdayites!

We’re leering this evening, leering over the stands at Kenilworth Road for a peek at what’s going on, because should Rotherham beat the home side, Sheffield Wednesday are effectively relegated from the Championship.

Rotherham’s superior goal difference effectively hands them a bonus point over the other two and a win tonight would leave both Owls and Rams needing a remarkable goal swing to bring them back into it.

Any other result throws it forward to a three-way shootout on the last day and the possibility that the winners of Wednesday’s clash at Derby stay up.

Still following? Let’s do this..
