Stuart Gray will have to follow his predecessor Dave Jones and use the loan market to the Owls’ advantage whether that be before next Friday’s deadline for January or after the emergency market opens a week later.
Gray, like Jones when signings were hard to come by, is relaxed about missing out on three three strikers so far and knows that there need be no panic before Friday’s deadline, as emergency loans are possible a week after that.
says: “I don’t think I’ve got any money to spend. It will be probably bringing loan signings in. After that window shuts, the emergency window opens soon afterwards.
“We have lost out of players who unfortunately have gone to other clubs for geographical reasons.
“We’ll keep chipping away at our list.”
