It was another disappointing evening for the Owls, who led 1-0 through Josh Windass before being – probably deservedly – pegged back in the second half after a disastrous own goal from substitute, Callum Paterson.

The Owls’ losing streak is over, but after Birmingham City’s win tonight means that they’re now nine points off safety. It feels like the writing is on the wall.

Here are our ratings:

Ratings

Westwood 6

Did nothing wrong, and was unlucky with the goal after what seemed like a good save. Wasn’t too busy to be honest.

Lees 6

A tidyish performance again from Lees, who hardly put a foot wrong all game. Kept Huddersfield at bay for the most part.

Hutchinson 6

Not too bad from Hutch, but – like so many others – it was far from a sparkling performance. Just ok, and then he was forced off by injury.

Börner 6

A decent performance from him after his return from suspension. Nothing spectacular, but did his job well enough for the most part.

Palmer 5

Was able to get up the pitch much and when he did he’ll have been disappointed with his crosses. Wasn’t particularly good in possession either.

Pelupessy 5

Did ok in the first half and helped in the goal, but was a bit untidy in possession in the second half as Wednesday battled to really get hold of things.

Bannan 6

Was better in the first half than the second, but was a solid enough performance from him in the centre of the park. Once again, however, struggled to perform to his high personal standards.

Reach 5

Playing back out wide, there was hope that Reach might put in a performance that so many people know he’s capable of. It wasn’t to be though, and he was very quiet. Even more so in the second half than the first.

Harris 6

Struggled to get into things to be honest. Looked ok when running at the opposition, but could’ve done with a better end product. Full of running as always, but not his best performance in blue and white.

Windass 7

Took his goal really well and tried to force things for the Owls. Fizzled out in the second half a bit, but definitely one of Wednesday’s better performers. Excellent speed and strength for the opener.

Rhodes 7

Came off in the second half as Wednesday looked for some fresh legs up top, but was more than decent enough in the first 45 and excellently setup Windass' opening goal. Can’t fault him, really.

Subs

Shaw – 6

Not bad after coming on, but wasn’t able to make too much of a difference and wasn’t able to stop Huddersfield’s second half domination.

Paterson – 5

A tough night for the striker, who came on for the last half an hour. Scored an own goal and struggled to make too much impact up top.

Urhoghide – 6

Tidy enough after coming on as a forced substitution for Hutchinson. Didn’t do anything wrong.

Kachunga – N/A

A late sub on for Windass
