SHEFFIELD Wednesday today confirmed that they have signed centre half Miguel Llera on loan from Blackpool until January.
The 32-year-old follows Newcastle defender James Tavernier in making the loan switch to Hillsborough.
Llera, a friend and former Charlton team-mate of Owls midfielder Jose Semedo, has been on loan at Brentford and played against the Owls recently.
He looks set to replace the suspended Rob Jones against Leyton Orient at Hillsborough on Saturday.
Lera was signed by MK Dons from Spanish club Hercules in the 2008-09 season.
He moved on to Charlton the following season, and to Blackpool three month ago, but was soon allowed to join Brentford on loan. He made 12 appearances for the Bees.
