Asked about his winless record against the 40-year-old, Bielsa said:

“We cannot ignore this reality but it doesn't mark a tendency because in football there is no definitive tendency and we are going to do everything to try to win the match.”

The Owls will be without forward Steven Fletcher, who will miss ‘eight to 10’ weeks with a knee injury. Full-back Liam Palmer continues his comeback from a swollen ankle suffered in a tackle against Cardiff City and Fernando Forestiri misses out with a knee knock.

Despite the mounting injury list Bielsa outlined the strength of the Wednesday side.

“That means they have enough players to build a good team.”
