A total of 22 players have left Hillsborough with seven being released from the academy, six from the first team, four returning to their parent clubs, one being sold and four sent out on loan. This is the list in full.
1. Cameron McCulloch
Relased from the Owls Under-23s at the end of last season. The shot-stopper joined Wednesday on trial last summer and enjoyed spells with Liverpool, Manchester City and Bury.
2. Connor O'Grady
Released from the Owls Under-23s at the end of last season. The youngster came up through the academy ranks at Wednesday and signed his first professional contract in June 2016.
3. Freddie Nielsen
Released from the Owls Under-23s at the end of last season. The defender moved to England in 2014 and signed a deal at Hillsborough in 2017 after a successful trial spell at the club.
4. Eyad Hammoud
Released from the club’s Under-18s following the end of his scolarship at Hillsborough. He helped the Owls' Under-18s to the Professional Development League 2 title.
