The 'attacking threat' duo Garry Monk pinpointed as players Sheffield Wednesday will have to watch in Hull City clash

Fresh off a hard-fought 2-1 win over Stoke City, the Tigers are within striking distance of their Hillsborough hosts and are in buoyant mood, arriving to face an Owls outfit hoping to haul themselves up from back-to-back disappointment.
But more unlucky is the fact that, if rumours are to be believed, we could be entering the final days and weeks of Hull at their strongest; with their twin wing pairing of Kamil Grosicki and Jarrod Bowen still intact.

Hide AdOdds on Bowen’s departure to the Premier League – with seemingly Aston Villa, Newcastle and Leicester City leading the charge – are dropping like a stone.
His is a presence not lost on Owls boss Garry Monk, who identified the pair as the men that make the Tigers tick.
Bowen already has 16 Championship goals this season and five assists, a ratio that makes his Polish teammate’s impressive tally of seven goals and four assists look positively pedestrian.
He said: “They're a good team. Of course they are. You look at the threats they've got, their Grosickis, the Bowens, they've got attacking threats.

“You know with those types of players on the pitch they can be dangerous. We expect a really competitive and hard game again.”
Keep that pairing quiet and the feeling is that Hull can be got at. The Owls were edged out in a 1-0 defeat at the KCOM that served as Monk’s first league defeat in an Owls dugout.
And despite the nature of those bitterly disappointing defeats to Stoke and Cardiff, Monk sees this afternoon as a chance to bounce straight back.
“We want to get back on track,” he said.

“What you do want to do is make sure you get back on track as soon as possible and not let that fester and carry on.”
