Twelve-goal forward Fletcher, who has not featured since Nottingham Forest on December 14 due to illness, has been selected on the bench.

Boss Garry Monk has made one enforced defensive change, bringing in Julian Borner for Liam Palmer, who suffered an ankle injury in Sunday's 2-1 Hillsborough defeat to Cardiff City. It means Dominic Iorfa will move to right-back and Borner will partner skipper Tom Lees at centre-half.

Atdhe Nuhiu has been recalled up front and will play in attack alongside Sam Winnall. Jacob Murphy has dropped to the substitutes bench.

Fernando Forestieri (knee) and Keiren Westwood (shoulder) are ruled out.

Wednesday, sixth in the Championship rankings, are looking to avoid a third consecutive Championship defeat.

Owls: Dawson; Iorfa, Lees, Borner, Fox; Reach, Hutchinson, Bannan, Harris; Winnall, Nuhiu. Substitutes: Wildsmith, Odubajo, Pelupessy, Lee, Murphy, Rhodes, Fletcher.
