Silence on Owls 'bid'

SHEFFIELD Wednesday chief executive Kaven Walker today refused to comment on a report that linked the Owls with former Hull chairman Adam Pearson as they look for new investment.

Pearson, who sold his stake in Hull earlier this year, also declined to comment.

But Pearson currently has a bid in for Huddersfield - the team that he supports - and The Star understands that he is not trying to take over the Owls.

Pearson has also been linked this summer with Leeds, Derby, Notts County and Bradford.
