The Owls make the trip to table-topping West Brom on Saturday with a point to prove after conceding goals in the last five minutes of both games to cost them five invaluable points.

And Harris, who also revealed he turned down five other Championship clubs to join Wednesday in the summer, said the mood in the club’s international break training camp has been one of desire.

“Everyone is hungry to make amends,” he said. “It’s been going well but there have been these disappointments in the last couple of weeks and it's nothing that we can't correct.

“It was a concentration thing and we need to correct that. We needed a bit of downtime and reflect and come back hungry and ready to go and I think we've done that for sure.

“We've got a very good team here and I don't really look at any other teams and think we can't win the game or get the result. The Championship is very close where levels are concerned.”

The flying winger, who has registered two goals and three assists in his short Wednesday career, said his a belief in an Owls promotion charge is the reason he chose the club over five rivals in the division.

And after a start that sees them in eighth position and just three points shy of the play-off places, Harris believes the charge for Premier League status starts now.

Sheffield Wednesday is a massive club,” he said. “When I was deciding who to sign for I thought: ‘they’ve got a great team there and they're destined to play in the Premier League’. I wanted to be a part of that.

“When I heard Sheffield Wednesday from the other teams that were interested, it was always Sheffield Wednesday from the start. There were rumours of this team or that team but I wanted this one. It's about the direction the team is going on and wanting to be on board with that.”
