As expected, Cameron Dawson has been given the nod in between the sticks, with Keiren Westwood sidelined by a minor shoulder injury.

Moses Odubajo comes in for the suspended Liam Palmer at right-back while Adam Reach and Massimo Luongo have been recalled to midfield. Jacob Murphy and Sam Hutchinson have dropped to the bench.

Wednesday, who currently occupy ninth position in the Championship, have won just one point in their last four league matches versus the Blues.

Monk added extra spice to the fixture by criticising his Birmingham counterpart Pep Clotet yesterday. The pair worked together at Swansea City, Leeds United and Birmingham City, with Clotet replacing Monk at St Andrew's after his sacking last June.

Monk accused Clotet of being disloyal, saying he made an "error of judgement" working with Clotet.

Owls: Dawson; Odubajo, Iorfa, Börner, Fox; Reach, Luongo, Lee, Bannan, Harris; Fletcher. Substitutes: Jones, Pelupessy, Murphy, Lees, Nuhiu, Hutchinson, Forestieri.
