The Owls fell behind in the 28th minute when an unmarked Bryan Mbeumo headed home a corner within the six-yard box.

Here’s what you have had to say on Wednesday’s first half display.

@splan80 How Borner, Lee & Luongo ain't started I've no idea. Bannan and hutch too deep, Harris and Murphy not defending so middle of park Brentford have 4 or 5 spare players. We can take or defend throws still either. So all in all great game for us haha. Need a big 2nd half here.

@LeeTuto You could change at least 4 at half time. Moses, Lees, Bannan,Murphy,

I’d swap Borner for Lees and Luongo for Bannan.

@MatthewNettlet1 Brentford look good side see this being 0-3

@aaronswallow26 We can’t pass and we’ve wingers that are only good at running

@scottcain13 Odabajo and Murphy cannot play on the same wing we are 2 exposed Murphy won’t track his man n odabajo thinks he’s up front

@StanningtonOwl Appalling defending at times, clueless in possession and terrible going forward. Do they even train for this?!

@Dadders That’s as flat and poor a first half as I’ve seen from #SWFC. Need to get much more of a grip in@midfield. Playing two wingers isn’t working. Both massively underperforming. More urgency, move the ball quicker are required

@SergejOdstrom This is a sam winnall/nando game. Brentford push up and leave spaces behind. But with both fletch and nuhihu going deep to get the ball its useless
