As Sheffield Wednesday supporters skipped into the City Ground concourse 4-0 up at half-time in the Owls’ rampant win at Nottingham Forest, a heady mixture of festive cheer and the promise of three Jordan Rhodes-inspired points meant it was party time.

Supporters joined in a singalong, suggesting “the Wednesday’s going up”.

And as they slipped into fifth a game short of the season’s halfway point, you never know.
