Fletcher, who is expected to lead the line when the Owls head to Derby County on Wednesday evening, told The Star: "It is really good (working under Monk).

"Everyone likes the way he is. He works on absolutely everything; things I would never have thought about working on. It has been really good and I am enjoying it."

Seven points from the last nine on offer has raised spirits at Hillsborough following a turbulent period off the pitch. Monk's men climbed into the play-off places after back-to-back victories over Charlton Athletic and Brentford.

Leading marksman Fletcher said: "It is nice to get back-to-back wins. It is always good when you get a win, to have another game coming so fast. We have momentum and another game on Wednesday, which is good."

"Derby will be a tough one, but we are looking forward to it," insisted Fletcher. "It’s a tough place to go, but we are one a good run just now.

"We have got a great manager behind us. All the boys are pulling in the right direction."
