Wednesday have slipped further away from the Championship's top six after Saturday's goalless draw at Hillsborough.

Goal-scoring opportunities were at a premium, with Adam Reach's glancing first half header the nearest the Owls came to scoring.

But the draw ensured Wednesday avoided a fourth straight home defeat.

Borner told The Star: "After the last few games getting a point is okay, it was deserved.

"At home, we want to win every game. But a point is good after the last game at home (5-0 loss to Blackburn). We had a lot of chances, kept a clean sheet, which for the defence is important.

"Our next game is at Barnsley, and I hope we can win there."

Although the Owls have picked up just four points from the last 21 on offer to slip to fall to 11th in the second-tier, Monk was pleased with their improved showing against play-off chasing Millwall.

Monk, who was without left-back Morgan Fox (ankle), said: "I was pleased to see the team with the right attitude. A team which wasn't willing to give up.

"It's a platform to build from, it was a clean sheet, it was a point. Considering the month that we have had I didn't expect the team to be at its most confident."
