SHEFFIELD Wednesday winger Jermaine Johnson has signed a new contract, as expected.

The Owls announced today that the 31-year-old Jamaica international is staying on a one-year deal.

The club had been waiting only for the formalities over a new work permit to be completed before they could confirm the news.

Wednesday’s other two out-of-contract players, Lewis Buxton and James O’Connor, signed new contracts last week.
