Izzy Brown set for Championship switch after Sheffield Wednesday and Chelsea exit?

The 24-year-old midfielder, who only managed to get a handful of starts during a tough campaign at Hillsborough, will be released by the Blues at the end of this month when his deal comes to an end – bringing to a close his career at Stamford Bridge.

Brown didn’t manage to rekindle the sort of form he showed for Huddersfield Town and Luton Town during his spell in Sheffield, but it would appear that Preston North End have seen enough of him to consider making a move to bring him on board.

According to Lancashire Live, the Lilywhites are looking at potentially snapping the former West Bromwich Albion man up as a free agent as Frankie McAvoy looks to add some fresh faces to his Preston team ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.
