Both Marriott and Flint arrived at Hillsborough on transfer deadline day earlier in the year, with fans pleased with the possibility of them coming in to make a difference at both ends of the field for Garry Monk.
Fast-forward a few weeks though, and the duo are both back with Derby County and Cardiff City after suffering serious injuries, and it now remains to be seen whether Wednesdayites will see them don Owls colours before the season is out.

Hide AdPulis, who came in as Monk’s replacement, wants to stamp his own mark on the side during the January transfer window, and there may not be a place for either loanee given the fact that their return date is unknown.
Speaking to the media today, when asked about Marriott – who has a January recall clause - the SWFC boss said, "It is between the two clubs... I have not even seen Jack since I have been at the football club.
"Him and Flinty – I know Aden really well – have gone back to their mother clubs, and whether we will see them again, we’ll have to wait and see. I'm not so sure."
Pulis worked with Flint at Middlesbrough and may be tempted to bring him back to Hillsborough once he’s fit again, but the jury remains out on Marriott after Wayne Rooney admitted that he wasn’t sure if he’d be returning to S6 or staying in Derby.
