The Owls moved up to fifth place in the Sky Bet Championship table after the weekend win at the City Ground and have won three out of their last four games.

However, despite the back-to-back losses, the Robins are in seventh place just a point behind Wednesday and assistant head coach Jamie McAllister is confident his side can return to winning ways on Sunday.

“I think it’s a good time to play them,” said McAllister.

“They’ll be confident and they might be a bit complacent. So it's up to us.

“But it’s what we do. We’ve got to focus on us and if we can perform the way that we can, then we can beat anyone in the league.

“If we get our game right on Sunday - and we respect where they are in the league and that they’re in a good vein of form - ultimately it’s up to what we do.

“If we perform the way we can, then we've got a good chance of winning the game.”

Wednesday did the double over Lee Johnson’s men last season, winning 2-0 at Hillsborough in April courtesy of goals from Barry Bannan and Lucas João – who scored twice in a 2-1 at Ashton Gate in October 2018.
