As attentions turn to the FA Cup, Wednesday will be seeking to cause an upset when they lock horns with Premier League Brighton and Hove Albion.

Only twelve places separate the Owls and the Seagulls in the football pyramid, but Wednesday head to the Amex Stadium on the back of three consecutive league defeats.

Winger Kadeem Harris told The Star: "Our main focus is the league but if we can go on a good run in the FA Cup that is obviously a bonus as well."

The Owls, beaten in the fourth round of the competition by Chelsea last season, are currently eighth in the Championship.

"I would take the league over the FA Cup any day of the week, especially with the position we are in now in the league," stressed Harris.

"We are still in a decent position and I think in the second half of the season we can put ourselves in a fantastic position.

"It is up to us now and hopefully we can put things right.”

Boss Garry Monk has indicated he will make personnel changes as Wednesday aim to return to winning ways.

"Whatever team that goes on the pitch will be a strong team,” he insisted. “It will be a team that will go there and put on a performance that we can be proud of.

"It is not about resting players. If there are changes, it is not because I want to rest players.

“I don't think they deserve to be rested after the week that we have had. Some deserve opportunities.”
