Is this Darren Moore's best Sheffield Wednesday XI in his preferred 4-2-3-1 formation?

Sheffield Wednesday don’t have a massive amount of players on their books at present, so Darren Moore isn't exactly flush for options as the start of preseason approaches.

The Owls will get back to work on June 28th as they prepare to head out to Wales for a preseason camp, with a friendly against Celtic on the horizon on July 7th – currently their only confirmed preseason fixture as things stand.

Moore has stated previously that there are hopes to bring in some new faces by the time the team return to Middlewood Road, however issues surrounding player wages, as well as a reported transfer embargo, have proven to be a stumbling block for the recruitment team as they try to plan for the 2021/22 campaign.

Wednesday currently have 23 players listed on their first team page at present, however that includes a host of youngsters (some of whom are yet to sign new contracts), as well as Osaze Urhoghide - who recently rejected the club’s latest contract offer - and Julian Börner who looks set to leave for Germany.

We took a look at the players currently at Moore’s disposal, and tried to pick his best XI when put into his preferred 4-2-3-1 formation.
