Iorfa is the reigning Player of the Season at Hillsborough at the moment after an impressive campaign in 2019/20, with the centre back performing consistently in what was a tough season for the Owls.
The 25-year-old has carried on where he left off in 2020/21 so far, playing a vital role in the club’s unbeaten start to the Championship as they seek to keep chipping away at their 12-point deduction.

Hide AdWith reports that Watford, as well as a Premier League club and another second-tier outfit, have shown an interest in signing the former Wolverhampton Wanderers man, Cameron Dawson has voiced his hopes that he remains with SWFC.
When asked about interest in ‘Big Dom’, the Owls goalkeeper said, “Yeah… They’re not having him! They can talk all they want, they’re not having him.
“He’s been excellent ever since he walked into the building. He’s a great lad, who wants to work hard, learn and improve, and he’s already got incredible ability.
“He’s a top player and a top lad, and hopefully he can stay in that defence all season and we can keep on keeping clean sheets.”
But is he destined for the top-flight at some point?

Hide Ad“He’s got all the attributes to be a Premier League player,” says Dawson. “So yeah, I hope he gets there someday, but hopefully that’s with us.”
Iorfa has already made over 50 appearances in Wednesday colours despite only joining last year, and his performances have now seen him become one of the first names on Garry Monk’s teamsheet.
Monk did say in his press conference today that there had been no talk of potential Owls exits at this time, saying, “No, nothing up to this point. So there’s nothing to deal with there.”
Wednesday reportedly paid just over £250,000 for Iorfa to sign him from Wolves in January 2019, but would no doubt be very reticent to let such a key player go as they seek to stave off the threat of relegation into League One this season.
