Sheffield Wednesday moved off the bottom of the Sky Bet Championship despite being held to a goalless draw by Millwall at Hillsborough this afternoon.

It was a game which rarely burst into life with Elias Kachunga having the Owls’ best chance when he somehow blazed wide with the goal at his mercy in the opening minutes of the game at S6.

The draw means Garry Monk’s men are now in 23rd place, moving above Derby County on goal difference at the foot of the table.

Here’s what Wednesdayites on Twitter made of this afternoon’s stalemate.

@siemal2018 Life as a Wednesday fan is absolutely horrendous at the minute #monkout #swfc

@TomTB1995 Thought we were the better side today. Must find that cutting edge. Probably should have won. #swfc

@THEsharpey We’re all still Monk out, yeah? Another game without a goal from open play against an awful Millwall side who offered nothing. If we can’t win games like that at home then we’re in trouble. Add six points on and we’re still fourth from bottom. Get him gone! #swfc

@BradSensicall Not scored from open play in five games (Luton, Rotherham, Wycombe, Bournemouth & Millwall). We've only scored six all season (two penalties). Garbage. #SWFC

@owls_4life I'll take the point but we need to find a way to score. Lots of effort but too negative when we get in the last 1/3rd, all to quick to go backwards or sideways. Off the bottom and looking much better than this time last week. Enough of the dedications tho' on ifollow... Jeez #swfc

@mattybates91 Massive missed opportunity. Couldn’t even hit the target. #swfc

@WawawOwls A depressing week previously, we have to say this week has been better. Didn’t see Bournemouth win and didn’t expect anything today...but four points out of six and six points from EFL . . . we have to stay positive. Should have won today. Another clean sheet but we move on together #swfc #wawaw

@ndunne76 Need to score to win games. Simple. We just look toothless up front, surely Rhodes deserves an opportunity. Another clean sheet is a positive #wawaw #swfc @swfc

@_CharlieThePooh Trump out, Wednesday off the bottom, and I’m about to drink an entire bottle of mulled wine, I bid you all a Good Saturday. #swfc

@ThomasRT_ Why is everyone suddenly surprised that the area we all knew we would struggle in (Up top) is actually where we're struggling. We haven't got an awful lot of quality up there, we need to keep grinding out scrappy results until January then bring that extra little bit in. #swfc
