Bannan, who spent many years at Aston Villa, will have no doubt enjoyed the goal against the Blues from a personal perspective – especially with it being the second time he’s scored past them this year.
The win took the Owls to -4 points as they continue to chip away at their 12-point deficit, and Garry Monk will have been delighted with the fact that they were able to withstand late pressure and get the job done.
