Carlos Carvalhal believes Hull City will present Sheffield Wednesday with their toughest test of the season so far on Saturday.
And he is calling on Wednesdayites to tip the balance in their side’s favour against the Tigers.
“It will be a very hard game against Hull City,” Carvalhal said.
“I consider it the hardest game we have had so far.
“I think our fans also know we have a very hard match and we will need them to help us on Saturday.
“It will be 50-50 in my opinion. They are not favourites because they were relegated from the Premier League and because we are at home.
“I think it would be 30-70 but we get the extra 20 swing with the energy we get from our fans.
“So I think it will probably be a 50-50 game.”
Carvalhal has studied five recent games which Hull were involved in and is confident Wednesday will cause Steve Bruce’s side problems.
He said: “We know they are one of the strongest teams in the Championship.
“They have a lot of players with experience in the Premier League.
“But I know we will be difficult for Hull also because we are playing very well, improving our football and the atmosphere in the dressing room is very good.
“I hope some players can do better. The signs on the training ground are good.”
