Sheffield Wednesday made some quality signings, bringing in the likes of Aden Flint and Callum Paterson, and they also moved on a number of players to freshen up the squad. Here's a look at how every player to leave Hillsborough last summer is getting on now.
9. Jacob Murphy - Newcastle United - End of loan
He was ever-present in the Owls side last season, but the club were unable to get him back for another campaign. He's being used sparingly by the Magpies, but did score a crucial goal in a 1-1 Premier League draw with Wolves. Photo: Pool
10. David Bates - Hamburger SV - End of loan
Bates never managed to win over Garry Monk and break into the first team, in a frustrating spell at Hillsborough. He's now playing for Cerce Brugge on loan, who were battered 5-1 at home to Genk last weekend. Photo: LAURIE DIEFFEMBACQ
11. Alessio Da Cruz - Udinese - End of loan
The Dutchman went back to Udinese and straight out on loan again, to FC Groningen in the Netherlands. He's not played much, but did put in a fine turn against VVV-Venlo in October, where he provided an assist in a 2-1 win. Photo: Dan Mullan
12. Connor Wickham - Crystal Palace - End of loan
Now back at Palace, Wickham is out with a long-term thigh injury. Photo: Dan Mullan
