Is there any injury news? Who is in the teams?

Owls boss Monk fielded a completely different starting XI for his side’s Carabao Cup second round tie at Rochdale on Tuesday so should go into the game with a near-full strength squad to choose from.

Cameron Dawson will probably return in goal ahead of Joe Wildsmith who, while was hardly called into action, didn’t put a foot wrong in the 2-0 win at Spotland.

Wednesday’s more seasoned professionals will also reclaim their places in the starting XI but Monk would have been impressed with the performance and attitude shown by the youngsters he blooded against Dale.

In terms of injuries, Osaze Urhoghide is still continuing his rehabilitation from a knee injury he suffered last season but has returned to training, while new recruit Chey Dunkley hasn’t played since a double leg break earlier in the year but is also back on the practice pitches as he steps up his comeback.

Watford head north after a penalty shoot-out victory over League One side Oxford United on Tuesday and a 1-0 defeat of Middlesbrough in their opening Championship fixture of the season on Friday.

New boss Vladimir Ivic will be without several key men, with Daryl Janmaat (knee) and Isaac Success (achilles) long-term absentees while Andre Gray (hamstring), Gerard Deulofeu (knee), Troy Deeney (knee) and Will Hughes – who is recovering from a medial procedure carried out in pre-season – all sidelined.
