Is there any injury news? Who is in the teams?

The Owls are expected to make several changes from the side which won at Cardiff as Monk looks to improve his squad’s sharpness ahead of this weekend’s Championship clash with Watford.

Monk made four changes to his side which tasted success in South Wales from that which triumphed on penalties against Walsall in this competition seven days earlier.

Defender Julian Börner should return to the squad after missing the Cardiff game because of a ‘24-hour bug’, although the Wednesday boss confirmed the German had not contracted Covid-19.

Once again, Monk will have a near-full fit squad to pick from but says ‘there will be some changes’.

“It’s impossible to be at (100 per cent) match sharpness so there were a lot of tired legs (against Cardiff) and we’ll have to see how they’ll recover and we’ll see how they are,” he said.

Osaze Urhoghide and new signing Chey Dunkley are still on the comeback trail from their respective injuries and are back in training, but it remains to be seen if they will feature.
