The sun was out, there was plenty of beer, and Sheffield Wednesday were playing. What’s not to like?
The vibes were high at Hallam’s Sandygate ground on Tuesday evening as Owls fans finally got to attend a pre-season friendly after missing out last year.
Two young line-ups were fielded by Wednesday, with the under-21s starting before the under-18s took over at the break. It ended goalless, but it was a competitive fixture, and fans seemed to enjoy themselves.
Supporters got the opportunity to ask for selfies and get autographs which was fantastic and greatly appreciated by all.
