It was previously reported by the Star that Julian Börner, Alessio da Cruz and Joey Pelupessy had all left the country prior to the lockdown getting underway, and there were worries that they may be forced into a two-week quarantine on their return to Sheffield.

Now though, Monk has confirmed that all of his players are now back in South Yorkshire ahead of the proposed May 25th return date, and it also appears that they will be able to train with the rest of the team as they begin working towards a return to football in the not-so-distant future.

Speaking to local press on Tuesday morning, Monk told the Star, “They’re already back in Sheffield, so there's no one abroad now. We've made sure that - as I’ve said, this is the first time we’ve been given more of a definite guideline – they’re all back in Sheffield.

“There's no quarantine or anything like that that they need to do, so yeah, they’ll be ready to go with everyone else.”

Only three players have played more games for Wednesday than Börner in 2019/20 so far, and Da Cruz has featured in six of the eight Championship games since his arrival on loan -while Pelupessy has been in and out of the squad with 12 league appearances to his name.

Wednesday are currently 15th in the Championship after 37 games, with nine games left to play.
