The Owls have just six games left of the 2019/20 season now as they prepare to face Monk’s former club, Swansea City, this weekend, however they still have no idea whether they will be the subject of a points deduction from the EFL as the well-documented case drags on.
Wednesday are being charged with misconduct over the sale of Hillsborough in a matter that has been going on since last year, and Monk has spoken regularly of how he’s more focused on things that he can affect – like the Owls’ on the pitch performances.

Monk said of the case, “There’s been nothing at the moment… Obviously I spoke to the club, and I think the phase they were in was obviously just talking to the panel and all that side of it, but in terms of verdicts and stuff like that, no, I’ve not heard when that’s likely to be decided.
“I think they’ve only just completed, or finished off, in terms of evidence or whatever you want to call it.”
Wednesday face Swansea on Sunday afternoon as they hope to bounce back from defeat at West Bromwich Albion earlier this week.
