Another loss for the Owls on Wednesday night saw them slip to three consecutive defeats for the first time since the turn of the year, and they now find themselves perilously close to the relegation zone given the possible points deduction looming over them.

Speaking to the media, the Owls boss said, “It is, but I’m determined. That I can promise.

“As a manager you live and die by your results, and everything will be judged on that totally, but I’m determined to get it right. It needs a lot of work, a huge amount of work, and it needs patience.

“The demand from fans is always there at a big club like Sheffield Wednesday. The demand for wins, the demand for points on the board. The demand for everything going on around us is there. I’m determined to get that right.

“It’s a lot of work, but it’s work that I’m more than willing to do and want to do.”
