Former Sheffield Wednesday man among four ruled out as Swansea City visit Hillsborough

Swansea City defender, and former Sheffield Wednesday loanee, Kristian Pedersen, is one of four players ruled out for their trip to Hillsborough.

The Dane, who spent the second half of last season on loan with the Owls from Wales, hasn’t featured too much for the Swans this season, but has been on their bench in the Championship and played in both of their Carabao Cup matches against Gillingham and Wycombe Wanderers.

With that in mind it was unlikely that Pedersen was going to start at Hillsborough on his return to S6, but it has now been confirmed that he has joined Jisung Eom, Andy Fisher, Josh Ginnelly on the injury list with a hamstring problem.

The club, in a match preview, explained, “Head coach Williams will weigh up changes for this fixture as his side face the second of three games in the week, with the likes of Joe Allen, Zan Vipotnik and Azeem Abdulai hoping to start having come off the bench at the weekend.

“Jisung Eom, Andy Fisher, Josh Ginnelly and Kristian Pedersen are currently sidelined for the Swans.”

Wednesday don’t have any fresh injury concerns as far as we’re aware at this point in time, with Josh Windass set to make a welcome return after personal issues kept him out of the last couple of matches.
