Enter Roger Johnson....a fine centre half in his time at Cardiff, a big-money buy for both Birmingham and Wolves, and still only 30.
Johnson would have been at Hillsborough more than a year ago, had Wolves not turned down an approach by Jones for him.
So it is not exactly a panic move by the Wednesday boss to bring in the defender, even though he has not played in any games since the end of last season.
