Ex-Sheffield Wednesday man Achraf Lazaar released after just half a season
But not too long after news of his Toon exit was confirmed, Watford announced that the 29-year-old Moroccan had joined them as a free transfer in an attempt to bolster their efforts at achieving promotion.
Lazaar penned a deal until the end of the season with an option for an added year should he impress, however it now appears that he will be on the lookout for a new club once again.

The full back spent time on loan with Wednesday in 2019, however made just four appearances as he battled with injury during his time at Hillsborough.
