The result sees the Owls lying in 23rd place in the league table, but as a number of their relegation battle rivals also lost last weekend, Wednesday are currently just three points away from hauling themselves out of the bottom three.
Speaking to the Star after the match, caretaker manager Neil Thompson discussed the upcoming clash against Wycombe Wanderers, and stated: "At the end of the day the target is to win the next game… Is it a must win? We’ll only know that at the end of the table. They’re desperate for the three points as well.
"We got beat 1-0 there and dominated, and it didn’t happen. We owe ourselves to recover from today and go and get three points."
Meanwhile, the Owls' hunt for a new manager continues, and there's still no telling whether the club will give Thompson the nod to continue in his current role on a full-time basis, or whether they'll look to bring in a fresh face to lead the Owls forward.
