FORMER Sheffield Wednesday star Marcus Tudgay was sent as his Nottingham Forest side were beaten 1-0 at Derby.

Jake Buxton struck in stoppage time as the Rams snatched victory in a feisty east midlands derby to leave Forest still fearing relegation from the Championship.

Substitute Buxton rose highest at the far post to nod in Ben Davies’ cross and stun Forest five minutes into time added on.

Buxton’s winner came soon after Forest had been reduced to 10 men, with Tudgay shown a second yellow card for a wild lunge on Ben Davies.

The game had seemed destined to end as a draw, until a dour but passionate encounter burst into life in the closing stages.

Forest’s defeat now leaves them looking anxiously over their shoulders.
