Fernando Forestieri and Connor Wickham have both been sent out at half-time to warm up. Garry Monk sureky has to make changes at the interval. Surely!

Yes! They are on for Windass and Da Cruz. Can they make an instant impact?

Miserable and lightweight

Half-time and the Owls trail 3-0. Horrific 45 mins for Garry Monk and his players, and a lot to do. Our man at Griffin Park gives his verdict below.

Alex Miller's half time ratings

Cameron Dawson – 2: Despite two decent saves his struggles continued for Brentford’s opener when he parried to goalscorer Dasilva, who volleyed through his legs. Confidence shot.

Morgan Fox – 3: Fairly absent on the left. Beaten too often

Tom Lees – 3: Headed clear once or twice. I’m just looking for positives.

Dominic Iorfa – 4: Made a handful of clearances and emerged from the half with a morsel of credibility.

Liam Palmer – 3: Beaten all hands up by Benrahma and co.

Alessio Da Cruz – 3: Dispossessed ahead of the Brentford second trying to dribble his way out of his own box. Had moments going forward, but it goes down as yet another individual error.

Barry Bannan – 3: Unable to influence things in the face of an ‘at-it’ Brentford midfield. Picked out one ball of quality to find Windass.

Joey Pelupessy – 3: Enjoyed one well-struck shot but failed to break up play – his primary job. Lightweight.

Jacob Murphy – 4: Again, quite possibly the Owls’ brightest spark in a horrible 45 minutes. Made two crosses of real quality, neither of which were taken up on by a teammate.

Josh Windass – 3: Operating in behind Fletcher, Windass started a couple of moves but nothing of any danger. Fluffed a half-decent chance.

Steven Fletcher – 3: Headed over Wednesday’s best chance of the half. Frustrated.

Brentford on another level!

Chris Kamara purring about Brentford's first-half performance. "Their football is on another level compared to Sheffield Wednesday...it's so easy!"

Another one for the hosts. What a disastrous first half of football this is turning out to be

Dawson redeems himself

Almost 3-0 to the hosts as Dalsgaard has the opportunity but Dawson makes a suerb stop. Owls can't afford to concede the next goal.

Chances of a comeback? Not great
