"I understand my position, my position is to win games and do that consistently. I have not been doing that, regardless of support or anything like that, the nature of the job will lways be that. All I can say is the owner have been very supportive toeards me but I undertand that can only last so long. I hope it lasts longer but that's out of my control. I am hgeky embarrassed by today."

"I'm just completely sorry to the fans. I'm workng so hard and trying give everything, Ive always done that, unfortunatrly not getting the response that's needed. I'm not a quitter, I have been determined in my career and in management, that's me. You are asking me five inutes after the game there needs to be a lot of thinking by everyone. There are deep-rooted issues here that are very clear. I think we can get to a better day but we are going through difficult moments right now

"I believe in myself, I believe in my work, I work very hard and I know when it's delivered at the level it needs to be delivered and it's effective and wins games. It's al well and good saying that, my job is to try and help the team reach those levels. I haven't been able to do that consistenty enough in this period an that lies at my door. I am tired of hearing my own voice and my own words."

"Of course after a performance liek that you would have to say (they are weak). It's me as well. Very rare in my life I have been lost for owrds. It's tough to take, tough to take for everyone and the fans behind the goal. I feel very sorry for them.

Monk says he's embarrassed

"Once again ridiculous goals against. I felt we were hiding today, shirking responsibility on a pitch. That's been the problem for quite a long period now and as much as we work on it and go through it, it doesn;t seem to be curing. Very embarrassed"

You work so hard and try and give everything but nothing seems to work in this period. There needs be a lot of thinking done by everyone, we can get to a brighter future but these are very difficult moments

It’s inexcusable, shirking responsibility on the football pitch. Very rare I have been lost for words, it’s very tough to take for everyone and the fans behind the goal today. It was tough on them

Monk's lost for words

"For the first time in my career, I’m lost for words. Simply not good enough. Really soft goals and that’s been the problem. You must have fire in the belly and heart we didn’t have that, I felt they were hiding out there. Unacceptable. It’s difficult to take"
